Timeline for Spring 2018 Semester

  • January 14th - Signups begin
  • January 28th - Groups start
  • February & March - NLG Outreach Projects Months
  • April 22nd - Last week for Fall Semester

The three-fold purpose of these small groups is:

  • assimilate new attendees and members.
  • minister more directly to the needs of our people in areas that interest them.
  • encourage the spiritual development of our future leaders.

Regular Sunday School will continue the same, but those desiring to participate in a New Life Group in an area that interests them are welcome to do so. The curriculum is DVD and discussion driven unlike the regular classroom setting. A small group setting encourages each participant to share and share alike around what they are learning and experiencing together.

It is our hope through New Life Groups (NLGs) we can more fully experience our new life in Christ and embrace the "It's A New Day" vision God has given us as a church.

NLGs are for up to 12 people who meet on Sundays at 9:15 am or 5:30 pm each week. They are a great way to have fun, learn, and meet new people. You can choose whatever group best suits you.

NLGs are offered twice a year and meet for approximately 9 weeks - once at the beginning of the year and once in the fall. There's no long-term commitment to a specific topic or group. You can study on marriage one semester then find out about Paul's letters to the churches the next. Several topics are offered each semester so there's bound to be something for everyone!

The Circle Maker - by Mark Batterson

Hosted by Anita Johnson
Meets on Sundays at 9:15 am. - 6-8 weeks

According to Pastor Mark Batterson in his book, The Circle Maker, “Drawing prayer circles around our dreams isn’t just a mechanism whereby we accomplish great things for God. It’s a mechanism whereby God accomplishes great things in us.” Do you ever sense that there’s far more to prayer, and to God’s vision for your life, than what you’re experiencing? It’s time you learned from the legend of Honi the Circle Maker―a man bold enough to draw a circle in the sand and not budge from inside it until God answered his prayers for his people.

What impossibly big dream is God calling you to draw a prayer circle around? Sharing inspiring stories from his own experiences as a circle maker, Mark Batterson will help you uncover your heart’s deepest desires and God-given dreams and unleash them through the kind of audacious prayer that God delights to answer.

Mom Set Free - by Jeannie Cunnion

Hosted by Stephanie Acup
Meets on Sundays at 5:30 pm. - 6-8 weeks

Moms are under so. much. pressure.

We moms are told that we have to get it all right so our kids turn out right. We’re told that their entire futures are riding on our ability to perfectly orchestrate their lives. And we’re told that the strength of their faith hinges on ours. So we begin to believe that if we just try hard enough, we can actually “be enough.”

These impossible standards make us fear that we are not only letting down our kids but also disappointing God, and they leave us stuck in worry, anger, guilt, comparison, and shame.

Jeannie invites us to journey alongside her as we learn to:

  • Lay down what God has not asked us to carry so we can thrive in what He has.
  • Embrace our significance in our children’s lives in light of God’s sovereignty.
  • Trust God with the children He has entrusted to us.
  • Receive God’s grace so we can reflect God’s heart to our kids.
